5 steps to a new job

What are you looking for in your new job?

Have you thought about that?

After all, not everyone is looking for the same thing in his or her job. However, I assume that everyone who is looking for a new job does so only to find "the job of a lifetime. At the very least, that should be the starting point. Or to "get ahead", another common reason.

But what is "the job of a lifetime"? What is 'getting ahead'?

For some, that is undoubtedly "(a lot) more earning." Of course, no one works for nothing. But hopefully there are other (in my opinion more important) things that also factor into the final choice. It's good to think about this from time to time.

At Continuum, we want to establish a long-term relationship with our customers as well as with our employees. Therefore, we believe it is important to give our employees opportunities for constant development. Because if our employees can develop, then our company also evolves in the positive direction. Our craftsmen work on challenging projects in their own region. This gives them the opportunity to maintain and develop their family and social lives. Because yes, that too benefits the quality we deliver to our customers.

Through our craft leads, all of our employees have a say in the ins and outs of our company. Whether it is about strategic choices, a new project, the new kicker table in the office or a fun activity... all opinions are taken into account as much as possible.

They say, "You can't choose your parents, but you can choose your in-laws.

Your employer can also, fortunately, still choose you. Unfortunately (or fortunately), there is still a lot of difference between those employers. You usually only get to know them thoroughly when things are not going so well. At the moments when you let your head hang or when you are not feeling up to it.

We deliberately keep our structure (if we can even call it a structure) very flat and accessible. We think it is important for our employees to know each other well and therefore invest quite a lot of time and energy in all kinds of activities: knowledge sessions, family days, afterwork drinks....

We don't fool each other; no-nonsense: With us, you know where you stand and you also know what to expect from us. Everything is negotiable within our company and we also know that everyone is different and wants different emphases in their lives.

Develop yourself in your interests !

A software crafter must build up a sufficiently broad base and be proficient in all areas. That is why we developed an extensive Apprentice Program. In addition, our crafters get the chance to develop further in specific domains: backend development, frontend development, cloud development, bigdata, machine learning....

We believe that everyone should be able to do what is within their area of interest. Because what you love to do, you usually do better and with great dedication.

Raising the bar for software development !

At Continuum, we are one team.

One team with the same goal in mind: Raising the bar for Software Development !

That purpose drives the decisions and actions of all our crafters and staff; every day. Whether it's writing new unit tests, setting up a new training program, implementing a new user story, a review meeting, finding a new project... everything is about improving each other and raising the bar ever higher!
