Processing of personal data: A processing is an operation or set of operations involving personal data or a set of personal data, whether or not carried out by automated means, such as the collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure or destruction of data. Personal data is any information about a natural person that allows one to identify that person directly or indirectly.

A processor: A processor is a natural or legal person, government agency, department or other body that processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

A controller: A controller is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.

This privacy policy applies to all direct customers, visitors, suppliers, job applicants and all other persons who are not employees of Continuum and whose personal data Continuum processes as a data controller.

Only when Continuum is acting in the capacity of a data controller do points 5 through 10 of this privacy policy apply.

If you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject, you must always turn to the data controller.

Based on the performance of an agreement

Continuum processes personal data necessary for the performance of an agreement to which you are a party, or to take action at your request prior to the conclusion of an agreement.

When asking for more information about Continuum's services

When asking for more info about Continuum's services or products, Continuum may process personally identifying information (such as name and e-mail address) and do so in order to answer your inquiry as accurately as possible.

Personal data processed for customer and supplier records

Continuum creates a list (CRM) of contact data of customers, suppliers and prospects for the purpose of sending commercial messages and proposals or for following up existing contracts and/or orders. This list is also used to invite existing business contacts to networking events.

When applying

Continuum regularly seeks new enthusiastic motivated employees. During the application process, Continuum processes the following categories of personal data: personal identification data, personal characteristics (such as language, date of birth, etc.), competencies, educational history, career path, curriculum vitae, picture, work references.

When participating in an event/training

Continuum organizes training courses. For smooth running and administrative follow-up, we process your personal identification data and professional data.

 

Based on your consent

When processing personal data based on your consent, you always have the right to withdraw your consent (see 10. What are your rights and how can you exercise them)

When you subscribe yourself to our newsletter

When you subscribe to our newsletter, you give your permission for us to send you a newsletter. Continuum gives you the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter.

When establishing a recruitment reserve

If Continuum does not hire you after an application, but would like to maintain your resume for future opportunities, Continuum will ask your permission to retain your resume.

When using targeted photographs for publicity purposes

When publishing targeted visual material on social media and the website, Continuum , will ask your permission. By targeted images we mean images in which the person is clearly recognizable in the picture (close-up, image focused on a particular person, posed photo, ...).

When communicating food preferences when registering for an event and/or training course

If you wish, you can provide your food preferences when registering for an event and/or training, so that we can provide appropriate food when catering. Only numbers are passed on to the catering company and no personal data.

 

Based on legal obligation

Continuum may process personal data as necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which Continuum is subject.

Conduct satisfaction survey on consulting and/or training among SME portfolio

If you wish to make use of Privatum's KMO portfolio when purchasing a service or training, we need to conduct a satisfaction survey. Depending on whether it concerns a service or a training, this needs to be completed by the company or by each person present.

 

Based on legitimate interest

Continuum processes personal data based on the legitimate interest in which Continuum has made a balancing of interests.

When using security cameras

There are cameras in and around Continuum's buildings for the purpose of preventing, establishing or detecting crimes against persons or property or nuisances, or maintaining public order. For this purpose, footage is collected, processed and stored.

When dealing with a question, offering help, offering information at your request

You can contact Continuum through various channels (phone, correspondence, email, contact form website, social media). We only use the personal data you provide to answer your questions.

When sending direct marketing

Continuum sends direct marketing and processes personally identifying information in the process. Continuum respects corresponding regulations, sending direct marketing only when there is a customer relationship, regarding similar products or services provided by Continuum itself. As a data subject, you always have the option to unsubscribe.

When inviting a customer satisfaction survey

Continuum attaches great importance to the quality of the services and trainings provided. In order to gain an insight into the experiences of customers and/or participants, Privatum will use a satisfaction survey after the delivered service or training. This way, Privatum wants to work on a constant improvement of our delivered products.

When creating an application summary list with the status for each person involved

Because of the many applications Continuum processes and the various channels from which new candidates are presented, there is a legitimate interest in creating a list so that candidates we reject do not process again after several weeks. This list contains only personally identifying information.

When passing a resume intra group

Continuum is part of The Human Factory. If someone applies for a job at Continuum, Continuum may distribute it within The Human Factory. If you as an applicant wish to apply only to Continuum, please communicate this explicitly.

In maintaining contact information to notify you as an acquaintance/family of our employee in case of emergency

We ask our employees to provide contact information for acquaintances and/or family so that we can notify them in case of an emergency.

When using visual material for public relations and/or journalistic purposes

When Continuum organizes a large corporate event, it has a legitimate interest to engage in public relations to attract new employees and/or new customers. Attendees of the event are informed in advance and have the opportunity to oppose the photo being taken: at the event itself to the photographer or after the event by sending an email to contact@continuum.be.

In improving the quality of the website

Continuum uses tools to collect statistics and gain insights about website usage. This information is anonymized and not linked to your personal data. Analytics tools use cookies. These are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet logging information and behavioral information. You can read more in our cookie statement.

Continuum does not share your personal data with third parties unless:

  • Continuum has received your prior consent to do so.
  • Continuum is required to do so by regulation or legal process.
  • Continuum is requested to do so by legislative or judicial bodies.
  • Continuum organizes an event together with partners or suppliers. The list of participants is also communicated to the partners or suppliers.
  • Continuum is acquired or split up in whole or in part. In this case, Continuum will impose on the third party the obligation to process personal data only in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

Continuum uses certain subcontractors such as, among others, consultants, study agencies (e.g. for conducting satisfaction surveys), tools (e.g. CRM system, mailing tool, recruiting software) in order to outsource part of our services to them. These subcontractors are not considered third parties but processors. We ensure that these subcontractors take the necessary technical and organizational measures to process your personal data legally and lawfully and also under no circumstances disclose them to third parties.

Continuum recognizes that the security of personal data is part of data protection. Therefore, Continuum takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized processing or unauthorized access to prevent misuse.

In any transfer of personal data to a processor outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Continuum always does so in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Statement and Continuum follows applicable data protection laws and regulations to ensure adequate safeguards.

Continuum retains your personal data only for the minimum period necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth in this Privacy Statement. Unless in dispute resolution or if a longer retention period is required by law. Non-personal information may be kept over time without limitation for statistical purposes.

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet logging information and behavioral information. This information is used to track website visitor behavior and to compile statistical reports about the website.

How can you exercise your rights?

You may exercise your rights by sending an e-mail to contact@continuum.be. To prevent any unauthorized disclosure of your personal data, Continuum may request more information to verify your identity.

Continuum has one month to respond to your application. This period begins when Continuum has received your request and has all required information to fulfill your request. The one-month period may be extended upon notice and explanation from Continuum .

Continuum will provide the requested information free of charge. Where requests are unfounded or excessive, particularly due to their repetitive nature, Continuum may charge a reasonable fee or Continuum may refuse the request.

If for some reason you assume that Continuum did not handle your request correctly, you can contact Continuum again and we will work with you to find a solution.

For the sake of completeness, we inform you that, if Continuum does not respond to your request, refuses it or if our response does not meet your expectations, you always have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, Printing Press Street 35, 1000 Brussels, Tel +32 (0)2 274 48 00, or via the e-mail address contact@apd-gba.be.

What are your rights?

Right to access
You can ask us what personal data we process about you, what we process it for, which categories of personal data we process, which categories of third parties we share your personal data with, the origin of the data processed and - when applicable - the logic we use when automatically processing personal data.

Right to rectification
If information is incorrect, you can ask us to correct it.

Right to erase your data
If data are not processed lawfully or if your data are no longer needed for the purpose for which they were collected, you can ask us to erase your data.

Right to restrict processing
By restricting the processing of your personal data, your personal data may still be kept but its use is limited. If you have requested a processing restriction, we may only store your data. This means that no other transactions can take place with your data.

Right to object
You have the right to object to your data being processed if such processing is based on a public interest or the legitimate interest of the person processing your data. Moreover, you can also assert this right to object if your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes. This right to object also applies to profiling that forms the basis of processing for direct marketing purposes.

Right to withdraw consent
If the processing of your personal data is based on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.

Right to data portability
You have the right to obtain the personal data you have provided in a common, structured and machine-readable form and you have the right to transfer this personal data to another controller where the processing is based on the legal grounds of consent or contractual relationship.
