Normal companies describe this position as Java Software Developer, but at Continuum we take a slightly different approach and call it Java Software Crafter.

In this role, you will be responsible for turning our customers' functional needs into working software. 

You build and integrate new applications and microservices or make extensions and modifications. And that with due attention to quality and improvements where necessary.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT?

At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in Java software development. Don't have that much experience yet? Convince us!

You have a thorough basic knowledge and experience with most of the following techniques and tools: Security, Web Services, Spring Boot, Javascript, HTML5, Hibernate, JPA, JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, GIT.

You have experience with REST and SOAP services, JSON and XML

Obviously you are in the cloud on this job, but you also know your way around Cloud environments: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.

SQL has no secrets for you. Scoring extra plus points? Then you also already have experience with NoSQL.

You like to be challenged around principles such as DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing

You are a fan of the 12 factor app principles

Piercings, tattoos ... it doesn't matter to us. But hopefully there is still a spot available because Agile is really on your mind.

Problems? You solve them in no time with your problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

You are "positively" critical and can convey your opinions constructively

Learning and sharing knowledge with your colleagues are second nature to you.

Communicating in both Dutch and English are no problem. French is a plus!

You are willing to work (hybrid) at our customers in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Mechelen and the rest of Flanders. Of course we take your region into account as much as possible and you get the opportunity to work remotely.

Cultural fit

Technical FIT

We don't like the classic barrage interview. We prefer a developer to developer conversation in which one of our Crafters will check how far you are in your career and in which way you can still learn from us and we can learn from you. It is also the opportunity for you to discover what our Crafters are doing on a daily basis. So feel free to ask questions yourself.

FINANCIAL FIT

During this interview you will speak with someone from management. Based on the previous conversations, we will work out an offer completely tailored to your needs. Hopefully we will meet your expectations and you will meet ours.

HIRE
